Luna Romo González
Head of New Technologies Unit Bank of Spain

Luna Romo is the head of the New Technologies Unit of the Bank of Spain, which is in charge of the overall functioning and coordination of the Sandbox in the central bank and fully in charge of the innovation hub. Many projects overseen by Bank of Spaint use DLT, artificial intelligence, biometrics/digital identity and big data as main underlying technologies. Luna has been working as an Economist in the Bank of Spain since 2008, first in the International Financial Markets Division and afterwards in the Market Intelligence Division of the Operations Department, where her work was mostly oriented to sustainability topics and to the analysis of the global capital markets and of bank funding and bank financial market prices.
